Thailand’s Royal Phuket Marina set for sell out success

Award-winning luxury lifestyle community, Royal Phuket Marina, is close to becoming a sell-out success story with just a handful of luxury condos and villas remaining on the market.
The Mediterranean-style development, centered around a marina filled with mega-yachts, has proved a magnet for the international jet-set being just minutes by motor yacht to myriad tropical islands, among them such famed Hollywood movie locations for James Bond’s ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’ and Leonardo Di Caprio’s ‘The Beach’.

The few remaining properties are now expected to be snapped-up fast with Phuket’s property market stabilising following peaceful 2011 elections.

Asian investors have also started to see the value of luxury real estate in Thailand’s yachting hub, on the back of strong growth in yacht sales in the region.

Still on the market are only six, (out of a total of 87), fully-furnished waterfront estates, including two Royal Waterfront Villas and one Grand Villa, the most prestigious homes at the world-class yachting hub.

Uniquely, they are also the only villas, not only in Phuket, but in Thailand, with private moorings literally on their doorsteps, with private berthing for vessels of up to 23 metres.

Among the Royal Waterfront Villas left on the market, two properties of 748 sqm, with a total 1,156-1,458 sqm including gardens, are priced at THB 185 million.

There is also one, one of a kind, designer-furnished 973 sqm Grand Villa with four guest villas in a landscaped estate of 2,869 sqm is priced at THB 299 million. This ‘Jewel in the Crown’ of Royal Phuket Marina features a 20-metre infinity pool, Jacuzzis, outdoor Salas and 70-metre, (in total), super-yacht berth.

Just three condos at the world’s first and only Aquaminium – Unique condominiums to house a private yacht berth within the residence itself, right beside the marina dock – are also still for sale.

These are a 2-bedroom Cabana of 169sqm at THB 19.95 million, a 3-bedroom Cabana of 191 sqm at THB 24 million, and Triplex Penthouse of 832 sqm at THB 98 million.

The Aquaminiums are recognised among the most unique and chic marina lifestyle options anywhere, earning the accolade ‘Best Developer – Best Waterfront Development Asia 2010’ at the Cityscape Awards in Singapore.

While the development by Hong Kong-based telecom tycoon Gulu Lalvani has proved a success with overseas investors, the state-of-the-art marina on Phuket’s eastern seaboard, near Phang Nga Bay, has also become firmly established at the forefront of Phuket’s yachting establishment.

It was awarded the prestigious “5 Golden Anchor Award” by the British Yacht Harbour Association and is a haven for many of the island’s most prestigious yachts.

RPM also incorporates a vibrant ‘Fisherman’s Wharf’ of al fresco restaurants and bars, trendy boutiques, a luxury spa and Phuket’s top health club, with flood-lit tennis courts.

Royal Phuket Marina Exhibition & Conference Centre also hosts large-scale conferences and expos, while extravagant weddings and parties are also on the events calendar.

On top, boat maintenance and running costs are a fraction of comparable destinations elsewhere in the world, from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean, while Phuket – one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations – enjoys easy flight connectivity and world-class facilities from international schools and hospitals to championship golf courses, high-end dining and eclectic tropical nightlife.
