David Simister

David Simister is Chairman for Thailand, Vietnam and Indochina and plays a leading role in regional investment acquisitions, the development of new business in emerging economies and also specialises in resort properties marketing.

Mr. Simister has run Richard Ellis Thailand since 1990 as Managing Director and became Chairman of CB Richard Ellis Thailand in 2005 . The company is the oldest international property consulting firm in Thailand. Mr. Simister has been involved in the Vietnam and Cambodia property markets since their emergence in the early 1990s. He has had a long association with resort property and worked extensively on the development of and advising on the overall master planning of Laguna Phuket, one of Asia’s largest integrated resort developments.CBRE were sole agents from the projects launch in 1989 until 1997. He has advised in the design and marketing for a number of luxury resort residential projects including W Koh Samui Retreat & Residences and Cambodia’s first luxury resort project Song Saa. He was also involved in the repositioning of President Park, a large scale condominium project in Sukhumvit 24, Bangkok and marketed the development successfully from 1992 to 2007.

From 1986 to 1990, Mr. Simister was a Director of Richard Ellis Hong Kong and has over 28 years experience as a qualified surveyor in Asia and the UK. Mr. Simister started his career in 1977 in property in London before moving to Hong Kong in 1981.
