Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ Newest Member in Tokyo – The Prince Park Tower Tokyo

Preferred Hotels & Resorts, a brand of Preferred Hotel Group and a collection of more than 250 of the world’s most desirable properties in key destinations and newly discovered havens, is pleased to announce its third member in Tokyo – The Prince Park Tower Tokyo.

Nestled in the lush Shiba Park in downtown Tokyo near the Zozoji Temple, The Prince Park Tower Tokyo is the flagship hotel of the established Japanese owned Prince Hotels & Resorts chain. Designed and built in 2005 with the concept of combining harmony with nature, it rises 33 floors with spectacular views of the nearby Tokyo Tower, the city center, and the tranquil greenery of surrounding parklands. In addition, a major part of the building is built underground and vertically to allow for more greenery around the building, with consideration given to earthquake safety and soundproofing. The proximity to subway lines and the monorail allows for easy access to main shopping and business districts.

The 673 rooms are equipped with complimentary high-speed Internet access, jet tubs, and balconies (in selected rooms). Nine restaurants offer an extensive array of cuisines with dedication to Japanese specialties using local ingredients. The 33rd-floor Sky Lounge is one of the best venues in Tokyo to view the night lights of the city. Recreational facilities include a 25-metre heated pool, gymnasium, a natural hot spring bath, and a bowling alley, or guests can jog around the Shiba Park to enjoy the natural beauty of Japan’s four seasons.

The hotel’s conference facilities are among the largest in Japan, with a ballroom able to accommodate up to 3,600 people, a convention hall, as well as 17 meeting rooms. The hotel also offers three distinctive wedding chapels – one located in the garden, one outdoors, and a sky chapel on the 33rd floor overlooking Tokyo Tower – as well as a full scale Japanese Shinto wedding ceremonial site.

“Tokyo remains one of the region’s most important corporate and leisure hubs, and we are already seeing a strong return of corporate business to our hotels since the tragic events in March,” said Mark Simmons, area managing director – Asia, Preferred Hotel Group. “Prince Hotels & Resorts is one of Japan’s largest and most respected hotel operators and we are thrilled to be partnering with their flagship property in Tokyo.”

“Through our partnership with Preferred Hotel Group, the Prince Park Tower Tokyo is laying the foundation for higher international brand recognition,” said Hisaaki Takei, regional general manager of The Prince Park Tower Tokyo. “By utilizing Preferred’s dynamic global sales and marketing network, I believe we will benefit from an increase in foreign guests from around the world.”
